Far Away, They Burn

Dark and Empty

Cold and Alone

Too large to comprehend

Infinitesimally small

So frighteningly far away that they can be blocked out by a hand

And one might reckon they vanish gently into the night

Yet regardless of it all

Of the unknowable distance

They’ll be forever burning
