Life is what you make of it some like to say
But with many people it is not this way
The homeless and poor living in dire poverty
With life is what you make of it would not agree
The one who first uttered these words must be of high social rank
Own a large property and have lots of money in the bank
She or he more than likely have never lived on poverty street
Where every day brings you some new challenge to meet
Your circumstance of birth can become your life's destiny
In a human world where there is so much inequality
Those born of poor parents of how it feels to be wealthy of will never know
In a world where for one to become very wealthy many poorer must grow
Life is what you make of it to the wealthy only apply
Since money speaks every language one cannot deny.
