Will You?

Parizaad Hafi

If I initiate, will you?
If I take the first step, will you?
If I take the first words, will you?
The universe knows you've got something to tell, and so does the cosmos.
And the falling star accuses me for my immorality , leaves me behind and goes on his way.
I see him fading but i can't do anything,
and then i sit with jibreel every night, he shows me path, but at the stroke of the day I'm still the same,
i guess i'm just tired,
I'm tired and i want to rest
But when I close my eyes, there's a light.
I don't know where I am but it's peaceful.
Neither I hear anything nor I can see anyone.
it's all deserted.
I'm close to my God and I think this is perpetual.
Never ending.
But your face strikes me, and again I'm at the same place.
I stand still
asking for perpetual happiness for you.
And the jibreel says to me,
you really have something to tell me.
So if I take the first step, will you take the last one with me?
If I take the first words will you take the last one with me?
I know one day you will tell me, what you have to, and end this conversation of eyes.
The wait will be over, the stars are uncountable.
