A Child No More

aDarkerMind

the pale green eyes of the year now lost

hell came two stones as once the voices came;

the chimes that blocked the scent of apples blood

once caveman now a foetus in a shell;

from fear of light from the golden globe

came circus hands

to the throat of fruit and laughter;

one man as two as bolts un-earthly crawl

how many nights an alien passes by?

where no sea shakes

so shakes the hands on the iron breast;

Zion on a water bed

grieves my time from pillar to the post

what matters most now god has bled me dry?

a child no more, instead

a teething man with antlers sucking sand.

ten commands two days jerusalem

bows and slays he risen from the ape!

be love, be poison,

hanging like a grape!

a man no less, before

secrets to the grave on borrowed time

this earth has stuffed me silent

still-born to the calf

if I cannot laugh, I cannot cry

with pale green eyes

where gone this year now crossed?

a death now even

on primrose hill

lightening strikes me twice, but still,

the voices come and go

this bending year

two stones that came and haunted summer long.

once caveman

now a foetus in a shell;
