today, tomorrow.

sarra

today i’m a teenage girl

but tomorrow is a fresh start

today i will soak my pillow in tears

5 minutes after waking up

tomorrow i will soak my pillow in tears

5 hours after waking up

today i cry to my mother

tomorrow i hate her

today i tell my boy i love him

tomorrow i cry over him

today i took a shower

tomorrow i cant get out of bed

today i drank 6 cups of coffee

tomorrow i drink vodka

it burns all the way down

tastes like freedom and july

today the air smells like vanilla and saltwater

tomorrow the air tastes like nothing

today i didn’t get enough sleep

tomorrow i cant wake up

everyday is different

knowing everything is temporary

is a comforting feeling

i wont feel like this forever

i wont feel like this tomorrow

A clever poem sarra - I enjoyed it but wondered how Vodka can taste like July? Remember that today is yesterday's tomorrow!
