GIVE

libirose

GIVE

you are a tree

i will persist to hug

i have embraced you

at your most

blustering winds

when you brawled

with the bushes

frantic branches

stroke my shape

but my fingertips

remained in your roots

when the dark crows

nested in your chambers

i howled a chant

echoing them away

and when your foliage prospers

and fruits ripen

harvesting

does not cross my mind

for simply watering you

is watering me
