Life is a Test

Emperor

The night brought darkness over my head
The devil beside me, vile words it said
While I follow I tend to forget
Influence of evil I know I'll regret
The morning came with lessons to learn
What went down last night for that I'll burn
The more lessons I learn the more I see
Surely I'll find mercy with a heartful plea
Around me a heaven made for the weak
Without a purpose they all grew meek
Upon lies our lives lie like a veil
Life is a test and everyday we fail
