Another Chance

Firefall

When I saw you, my soul exploded in joy

As though searching across several lifetimes

I would know you anywhere

Faint glimpses of our past embedded into memory

Eternal love found again, around and around we go

Attraction with no bounds, passion with no limits

Each time, I thought we beat the odds

But who is keeping score in destiny's game?

Then just like that, it’s over

Will karma win again?

Pleading for another chance this lifetime

Or will I have to die to see you again?!

Repeatedly together then pulled apart too soon

Fear and duty separate, a cruel and bitter moon

I’ll never give up on us, we’ll always find our way

Lessons learned, love never dies, we’ll meet again someday

An emotional piece about having, letting go and possibility of having again. Life and love can be a roller coaster at times. Very well expressed.
