Silence.

Melancholia

The sound of uncertainty

That you leave me with

Should I fight to break it

Or push hope down a cliff?

Does it really matter what I ask?

I signed up for this pointless task

But you hide in the distance

Barely noticing my existence

No words to reach you

Nothing to say

Silence is the easy way

But the silence speaks for you

And I refuse to listen

I am enduring the quiet

Just to pretend it's alright

Until the noiseless killer

Tears me up inside
