The critical mind can be so unkind
particularly when all it can focus on
are the aspects that are going wrong
when all along
you have the power
to control thoughts of the brain
without harmful shame
are you the only one to blame
or is it something you have been taught
whatever the outcome remember
feelings whether happy or sad
or angry or mad
are only temporary
yet they are a significant part of your story
