Embracing Hope

Miyong.

In shadows deep, my soul does ache,
A prison of despair, no dawn to wake.
The walls close in, a chilling embrace,
As I battle demons, in this confined space.

The blade's cruel touch against my skin,
A moment's relief from the storm within.
But each scar tells a tale of pain,
A silent cry for help, an internal rain.

Yet somewhere in this captive night,
A flicker of hope casts a feeble light.
Through cracks, I glimpse a world anew,
Where healing's possible, where skies turn blue.

Locked in struggle, I yearn to break free,
To find solace and the strength to be me.
No longer defined by this room's cruel art,
I'll mend my wounds and mend my heart.

So let the wounds begin to heal,
As time unfolds, the pain may seal.
In each new dawn, a chance to grow,
To find the strength, to let hope flow.
