Your watchful eye of envy,
cuts through this screen veil,
but its my eye that meets yours,
as I give you something to gawk at–
give you something to begrudge.
While your attempts at intervention,
reveal your cruel intention,
I’m so easily annoyed,
but I choose to hold that in–
failure to get under my skin.
Wedged, watching you watch me,
I notice malice is your aim,
And so, my guard stays,
while my heart softens for him--
I won’t let you win.
