To speak the words of famous lore
He backs away forevermore
For he’s afraid to quote the words
He dares not say them, “Never more”
So timid, he, he trembles true
Though black as night, his heart is blue
He dare not draw attentions light
To hide in shade, he means to do

beautiful..keep it up
Very nice! The Raven By Edgar Poe! 😁The RAVEN is my spirit animal, so I'm very familiar! But she's brave and bold! Lol
Love your take on the "Raven", a sweet read!
A lovely two stanzas here Pop64, brilliantly written.
I really like how the comic tones stated in your lines, suggest that a "mysterious strong swagger" from the raven, could actually be a decided "lonesome nervous freeze."
Bravo, and I hope that all is well.
