But dreaming of a Taoist hermit's life, he declined high positions after the war.
Returning home, he played with seagulls and cranes, on the hill of the river-bank.
Abstained from hot food and grains, and followed the wild geese, left his boat on the bank.

- Comment from author about the poem: The Mangwoo-Dang was a place where the General Kwag had lived his left life after war. During Korea -Japan War he gathered the volunteer militia and attacked the Japanese troop by guerilla tactics. He won many battles and did large merits for victory at war. After war he resigned all the rank and come back to his home town.
