Ineffable Expressions

FallingAwake2

Knotted at my tongue’s tip,

I struggle to string words

into a meaningful sequence.

Ignorant attempts to express

the ubiquitous, but out of reach–

the inexpressible–

the ineffable.

Worn from the illusion

cast down by separation

I fail to see the unity–

the totality.

Through these textures

of black and white,

good or bad,

this or that…

The monism is lost

by the boundaries of linguistics,

And so, I try to comprehend my existence

through my pen regardless.
