The Broken Age _ Deep Reminisce

RICHIE KHARIS

It is cloudy here

A storming sea of minds
Winds howling, waves colliding

Eyes fall like diamonds
Souls trapped like liquid in glass
Heavy, swollen, unseen

Take me back
To when life was a garden

When we did not measure ourselves
Against glowing illusions

When beauty was not a burden
And worth was not performed

We fell! yes!
But we rose like rockets, not regrets

Now!
We chase money, recognition, noise

Children tap screens
Instead of pouring hearts at tables

We gained the world
But misplaced our joy

And now!
We drift
