Sky without words

Violet bluebell( used to be yellow rose)

A sky sits on a calm day 

sitting without words 

she’s standing still in shades of blue 

calm , seen 

tho never making a note into the breeze 

quiet like the soft sand 

without a word shown in her space 



the skys nothing like that book with lines of words made into a story 

simply blue clear 

never making a note 

those birds and squirrels may make a sound 

use their voice 

heard sometimes 

and the sky sits always seen 

quiet yet without words moving throughout the blue space 

unlike that book telling a story 

 

the sky never speaks a word 

always visible , and noticed 

even if she lives quietly in this world

  • Comment from author about the poem: Decided to write about the words ‘ sky ‘ and ‘ words ‘ I think sometimes we can be seen , appreciate that .. but not always listened to /heard or even we can feel sometimes like we can’t even express ourselves And maybe sometimes we are just comfortable in that space of just being quiet without the need to talk

    Meanwhile - I'm not comfy with no words - I go on and on, always use 20 when 5 will do, blah, blah, rambling on like a blithering idiot!

      lol .. I think sometimes we can feel uncomfortable with being quiet . Some people are more talkative , tho .. we’re all different

        I like the quiet and 'no words' really. I'm hardly an extrovert either.
        I felt sorry for the sky on a chilly night. I tried to take it indoors overnight, but not enough room.
        That's going too far - they'll take me away soon, men in white coats! lol.

        I've always loved the descriptive phrase "a quiet beauty", because it is so true.There is a beauty about quiet that too often goes unrecognized. Once you've tried it however, you find you go back for more. Such a lovely, peaceful write, thank you!

          Yeah sometimes it’s nice to just be quiet ,

          Being in a calming peaceful place within ourselves

          And that is a lovely phrase .. I agree
