I smoke my last guitar
swirling notes of sweet Havana fly
Blowing blue wisps to a distant star
Waning flat tones of cognac cry
Wafting frets while fingers do char
as the aroma of music drifts in a sigh
Dumping song's ashes in a jar
Glowing Cuban embers, evaporate and die

Good write SB.
I'm on me way with a water syphon to put out your smoking guitar! lol.
Thanks for the read Orchi appreciate the effort to put out the flame but it has already burned out.
I love the way you have woven music and smoke into one. The words come to life and the feel of the poem is real. I can hear it, smell it, taste it. Beautiful!
Thank you Bella I so appreciate your review and kind words of understanding.
