A Corpse in formalin.

Azaleas

Are you a corpse in formalin?

Prevented from rotting and decay.

A corpse preserved so perfectly.

A corpse seeming still alive today.

Are you a corpse in formalin?

Dissected and put on display.

Are they looking inside you?

Seeing all you had hidden away.

You are now a corpse in formalin.

They can see your organs inside.

They have finished cutting you open.

You couldn’t even try to hide.

You are still a corpse in formalin.

They have finished ripping you open,

You can no longer be of use.

They have left you in pieces, broken.

You are no longer a corpse in formalin.

They are taking you to be cremated.

Burning what’s left of you away.

What’s left of your existence has faded.

They made you the corpse in formalin.

They may not have pushed you off.

But you know they killed you.

You remember why you jumped.
