Flying Low

Chanel Tavarez

What will it take for you to let me grow

Look at the years and I am still flying low

What will it take for you to comprehend

That cutting my wings off isn't what you need

But let me fly to find me.

And I understand that it must be hard

But harder will be later on

When the consequences come

And you call it your fault.

I just want to live and have fun

Cause at my age I still don’t know the word

Or what about the world.
