In order to survive,
they had to
acquire the imagination
of a ghetto whore
and quickly ..
Therefore, making out
the dark side
of arc lights and with
strangers,
for bread was easy ..
It was those late shift
oven duties
that made each of their
skins crawl
and stomachs turn ..
But it just had to be done ..

You know....I don't know why I immediately thought "you gotta do, what you gotta do"! That's why I try really hard not to judge people. You never know! Oh and, this title though. Oh I feel so sorry for those girls! I try not to judge unless you have walked a mile in someones shoes. That has got to be so bad!
Between 1933 and 1945 the Nazi regime operated hundreds if not thousands of concentration camps, specifically designed to eliminate certain sections of society .. life in them must have been horrendous and if one wanted to survive .. then one needed to be both determined and resourceful .. the rest is history .. thank you for stopping by C ... It's a sad truth you write of here, but as I tell my kids, "It is what it is", meaning we can't alter the past nor change what has to be done, just in order to live. Thought provoking and quite a write.

was once a stripper...
world labels her a success
showers her with money and praise
ignores, what it cost
what she had to endure to arrive
at this place/space..
and so nothing is done
that path is left unchecked, like
a training regime
and here comes another 16 year old
hiding her age, learning
to ignore those eyes and dollar bills
tainting her soul
and how worthless and cheap
they make her feel
because , she knows
outside, on every other street corner
worse fate's await...
(this is why i RAGE at this world
every fckin inch a Hypocrisy
with spineless, seedy intent
All this fckin vermin's
'Working to protect their mothers
daughters, and sisters'
then turning around
and violating every other girl they see
with their eyes..)
