For the lost ones

Lost4words

When I was a small kid, I used to get high

Please don't get me wrong, this isn't a lie

I got high from experience, from joy, from curiosity

I used to spin round and round, until it hit me

Then I used to laugh and down I used to fall

It was going so well, then I heard the call

The call of my future self, with a growly voice

All of a sudden I realised the kid is gone, I had no choice

I was him, I am him, and forever will be

Because time doesn't wait until it kills me

Please don't get me wrong, this isn't about death

It's about the process, I know we've all felt

Then came the rules, the fools and the tools

I had to use em all, everyone else too

Please don't get me wrong, it was all trouble trouble trouble

Earn money, make others happy, I built a bubble

A bubble in my own mind, which I couldn't escape

Trying to get out of it with so much hate

Then I remembered when I used to spin as a child

I tried to do it again, but the trip just got wild

Dont get me wrong, It felt ridiculous, I'm not a kid anymore

But I had to find something that touched my core

Then I saw the trickster with a bottle and a spliff

He said this might help you and even give you wings

I drank and drank as It felt much lighter

Until I crashed the ground and my vision shrunk tighter

The more older I got, the more I felt like this was normal

Dont get me wrong but I saw people treating themselves like an immortal

Years passed away and suddenly I saw the truth

That this is all about THEM consuming my youth

It's business, its money and they don't give a fuck

Be hooked, be a slave, and consume until you rot

Dont get me wrong, The more you give, even more they take

I am not an accuser, but neither a fake

Dont get me wrong, its about us all, we need to break free

Don't be so rude, when someone hugs a tree

You might laugh about it with a beer in your hand

But remember, you are just a grain of sand

In a beach, filled with lives of trillions

Think twice about how many died for dem millions

Dont get me started, It's your life, like it is mine

I felt as a kid today, looking back at time

I want to stay free from all this mental slavery

I shall be a kid again, its all about bravery

Dont get me wrong, but when the trickster comes back to attach your blinkers

Remember not to blink, just pull its middle eye out until it lingers

Wow, excellent piece my friend, I know exactly what you are talking about, Life isn't about working and working to make someone else a fancy car payment or house, we will never get ahead by busting our ass day to day, just to get by,paycheck to paycheck,
    But we live and learn,
We must never lose the innocent child that we once was or we will lose our true selves.

Yes I think as humans we collectively go through this. It's a weird and messed up phenomenon. Thankyou for the nice comment

We all must stick together as one or we will all lose ourselves in this corrupt world
