Moon child
Oh, there goes the moon’s child.
As bright as the sun,
Bringing light to everyone's day,
the face of every star’s envy.
There goes the best part of my day,
As light as a tulip,
Floating around the wind
As she danced around the river’s bed.
Her dress as white as snow.
There goes our mysterious maiden,
Wandering life like a newborn babe,
Stopping to talk to the trees hanging by
The willow’s bay,
Conversing with the delicate spiders,
Listening in on their whispers of life.
There goes the the night’s lieutenant,
Strolling with him hand in hand on the
Side of the pond, stopping to smell
The flower’s precious dew,
Unbeknownst to the darkness
That is always surrounding her.
There goes our echo of the hour,
Drifting out of sight, out of mind,
For those long hours of the day,
The wind stopped gently flowing,
The spiders halted their talking,
The birds and bees disappeared,
Only to come back when she arrives.
Oh, my dearest moonchild,
How I worship your connection
To your father; the moon.
How I wish to play with you and your ghosts of dawn,
And see your beautiful smile forever again.

This is so beautiful and makes me think of my mum. Gone yet always with me. 💖
