I was told love smells like roses but……..

Preeti Poddar

I was told love smells like roses but, It turned out it smells like fear, fear of not just losing you but myself as well with you.

It smells like anger that sometimes we show and sometimes we bury to keep the love alive.

It smells like helplessness, your unexpected warm touch and apologies.

It smells like salty tears and the sweat that comes after we hold our hands for too long.

It smells in every corner and at every window.

It smells on the car seat and on the bench of the park.

It smells both in my arms and in my soul

It smells at every place I have been with you and also at the places we have never been to .

It smells like you. Love smells like you.
