Dark Sky

John Prophet

Dark
sky.
Foreboding
shadows.
Horizon
closing in.
Technology.
Distracting,
confusing.
Head
in the
clouds.
Rudder
out of
hand.
Society,
hopelessly
off
course.
Waves
rocks,
running
a ground.
Future
rapidly
approaching.
Past,
soon a
forgotten
thing.
Minds,
lost
in the
virtual.
Mesmerized.
Narratives,
immersed.
Puppet
masters.
Blinding.
Controlling.
Hopelessly
adrift.
Lemmings.
Sheep.
Critical
thinking,
independent
thought
crushed.
Thinking
fixed,
controlled.
Battle
for the
soul.
Lost!
Marching
orders
planet wide.
What was,
will never
be allowed.
One world.
One way.
Humanity,
a thing
of the
past.

    'Hopelessly
    adrift.
    Lemmings.
    Sheep.
    Critical
    thinking,
    independent
    thought
    crushed.'

    'Battle
    for the
    soul.
    Lost!
    Marching
    orders
    planet wide.
    What was,
    will never
    be allowed.'

    and we're watching the demise
    real-time, front row seats
    with our eyes shut wide..
    (just crazy dear Poet
    unfathomably, stupendously
    crazy!)

So true and so pervasive. We were all asleep at the wheel.
      Thank for reading LBM.
