Colours sit still
green pinks purples and blues
on a table , quiet
standing strongly in themselves
showing the colours they truly are
they are quiet , just being in essence nothing more than they need to be
and others see these comfortable colours
see , need maybe even like the colours
and realise they are helpful
helping them to express their feelings or make their day that bit brighter
colours sit still
greens pinks purples and blues
on a table quiet
standing strongly in themselves
accepted and allowed
liked maybe even loved
maybe they wish for a voice
they wish to talk and sing
grateful to be there for others
And to be liked
yet sometimes they wish to find a voice
talk from their centre
speak their truth
more than simply having others talk of how nice they are

Superb metaphor
I see a few people including myself in these "colours "
Thanks Peto ) glad you enjoyed the read . Yes I guess some colours can be like people in a way .. helpful , soft , kind .. different personalities .. and ways of being
But sometimes we want to be able to express in our own way .. and we feel like we cant
Appreciate the comment
I will have to bring those colourful Autumn leaves indoors soon, if it's chilly nights! lol.

Thankyou so much teddy 🙂 hope your ok . Glad you enjoyed my poem . Yes I think some colours are so nice , very much like some people I guess
But I guess those colours or people might want to express more than they are .. sometimes
🌸
And like people, sometimes we're just there and beneath our visage, we just want to be heard, not just looked upon. A wonderful thought inspiring write.
Beautiful. I like what you do with colors.
