Beauty in ugly things

PKF

I made the choice to see

beauty in ugly things

when the world around me

was not pretty

i counted it joy when

faced with trials

while never bessotting pity

never becoming a victim

to this abusive relationship to life

i divorced my fears

now im fighting for custody of my purpose

digging deeper within myself

to mine greatness beneath my surface

the fracking of my soul has made me weary

my flesh is weak but my spirit is willing

no I won’t complain

when pain is irrespective of my feelings

for I choose to see beauty

when the sight of life becomes unappealing

As my faith grows in God

the more his word to me is revealing

I am not religious, but I share the thought you explore here... to me it's not god that you find but yourself... but whatever it is, it reads like wisdom...best to you!
