When All Said and Done it’s All Over
I regret
to inform you
I am no
longer the man
you once
wanted or loved
am I darling ..
I don’t
have a clue
what happened
to us,
or for that matter
to me ..
It just seemed to
happen
and came out of
the blue ..
Like a stab in the
back and
a kidney punch,
all rolled into one ..

Tis but a fairy story .. and a man hug .. Neville π
Man hug, kidney punch... any physical contact works for me!
Ahh good, words I say to KP every day! lol.

I hear you loud and clearly over .. π
It can end as starkly as you have described it. I recall two acquaintances who simply went home to an empty house., completely empty, everything was gone not even a bed to sleep on. In your poem the pain of loss is transposed into physical pain, "stab and a kidney punch." This conveys the pain nicely. I also noticed the tongue-in- cheek of " I regret to inform you"... clever. "All said and done," a most intriguing poem. - Phil A.
that's about as perfect as it can possibly get .. cheers Phil π
Love lost can feel like an expected and unexpected βstab and kidney punchβ in one-to love and loss, I salute!
I am indeed most humbled and I thank you so very much ma'am .. Neville
its always heartbreakingly morose
when the most certain pillar in our life
crumbles, before our eyes
in that image, we witness a loss
we can never replace...
but
that's why, we can never take love for granted
I like the song
'I'm going to love you
like
I'm going to lose you'
because it love's truth
distilled
it's too late to wonder why, after
it's our now that matters
giving it all, in our very day
every conversation
every embrace and kiss
leaving nothing to chance
loving, in a way that will insure
come what may, we will have
no regrets..
(I assume this was inspired
by patients or other external influences
so i won't worry for you, Hyung)
a Great write!
External influences infiltrated my pen .. thanks again my friend ππ
