A Mum

Off Key

I'm your caregiver, your nurse, your educator, your chef, and your housemaid.

I'm your personal financial institution: accessible around the clock, every day of the year.

I'm your unpaid chauffeur, ready at your request or on demand.

I'm your emergency responder; if you require assistance or rescue, I'll be there.

I'm concerned for your mental health and welfare.

I'm regarded as an invader of your privacy.

I'm deemed your greatest annoyance.

I'm not your friend, yet I endeavor to remain steadfast and loyal.

I loved you before you were born.

I will be there for you until the day I die.

I am your mum.
