A Body That Holds

eckardcb

Weightless, I float on
The ocean—
A great salty body
That holds
Me, her
Fluid arms
Cradle whatever
Substance

I am—
Salty, fluid,
You are

Just like the ocean,
A magnificent body,
Yes, it crashes.
And it breaks.

Oh, but it holds

The most precious soul,
And I don’t ever want
To leave this place
