I learned how to stop crying,
Years ago, I don’t really remember.
I was told you need a reason to cry,
But I could never put it into words.
She’s just seeking attention.
I see people with scars on their arms,
Self-inflicted, with knives they keep close,
People would say how horrible it was,
How wrong it was to mark yourself.
He’s just seeking attention.
I’d hear about a headline tragedy,
People who’d jumped,
People who’d bled,
People who’d crashed.
They’re just seeking attention.
I’m not seeking attention, I don’t cry,
I’m not seeking attention, I don’t cut,
I’m not seeking attention, I’m still here,
So why do you ignore me?
