Tell me about marriage only if you have been there.
Tell me about poverty if you were once poor.
Tell me about prison only if you were once incarcerated.
Tell me about labor if you once gave birth.
I would rather hear about the pain of the wounded,
and I prefer to see a sermon than to hear it.
Let the man who lived it tell it.
Only the mouth with the experiences can truly relate.
Nothing can be compared to a story from the author's lips.
Once you have lived it, you can teach it.

‘Once you’ve lived it, you can teach it’ And that is the truth! People are the owner of theirs or their communities story (of trauma and suffering.) Beautifully penned.
