Listen

Tia Natasha

Listen, my child.

It's time you opened your ears wide.

My words are important, and my words are wise.

It comes from my heart and from the depths of my soul.

It will keep you at night when it's dark and cold

and on days when nothing is going well.

It will keep you in the valley

and surely in the storms.

Humble yourself and pay attention to

every word flowing from my mouth.

A child that listens and takes heed to instructions

will soar on high and touch the stars.

Kings and queens, you will walk among

giants and nemeses; you will tread upon.

Great knowledge must be passed on and not withheld from youngsters. It must not

be buried.

It must not be refused.

Hang them on the walls, let them cling to the soul, and treasure them with your

heart. Every word was knitted in gold.

Some won't care to budge; others may run far away, but time will surely tell on

those plugged ears.
