A ladybird sits outside walking on the colour pink
on a place that very much resembles those pink vibrant petals
happiness warmth bright joy
living below her feet
love and compassion
self love resting
there for her as she walks her little feet
strength speaking from her red dress
and a nights sky singing from those little circles on the dress
that she always has lived in
strength sits strength walks
a grounded little ladybird
walks on a place
that holds more colours
so much more space to live on
to be to smile and feel like something is looking after her
resting a kind place of pink
a kind place of love
a kind place of understanding
there for the little ladybird
singing of strength
and those calming night circles
safety is all she needs and she wants to be by the colour pink
feel those nice feelings settle within her
a ladybird in balance
resting with feelings of kindness
that’s why she stays there
walking on pink

- Comment from author about the poem: This might be a bit similar to another poem about a ladybird but I wanted to share it . Saw one today , elsewhere .. walking on a pink type seat / cushion .. I said to someone , maybe the ladybird likes the colour pink I guess also related pink to the heart chakra and those feelings of warmth / kindness compassion etc

HI Violet bluebell
I loved this joyous piece of writing. I hope you resonated with the happy ladybird and that it's you in spirit.
Thanks for sharing, Felicia
A fine write V.
The way to catch a daddy-long-legs (crane-fly) is to cup hands over it, I find, not try to take it with fingers and thumb - it may break off their delicate legs.
Same with moths. You just opened your purse? lol.
'a kind place of love
a kind place of understanding
there for the little ladybird
singing of strength'
just another beautiful hug-in -words
there's such a soothing tint
to your poetic ink, dear Poet
