My Godly Goal

My Goal is to get to know You better
My Goal is to Worship You more
My Goal is to obey You more
My Goal is to become Disciplined for You
But,
Worldly Pleasures are always Tempting me
Cussing is second nature to me
Judging,Gossiping and Criticising is enjoyment for me
Praising You Half-heartedly is simply just Okay for me
Yet,
Do I not understand that You died on the Cross for my Sins?
Do I not know that when I feel Sad You are the one I Yearn for?
Do I not know that when facing Trials and Tribulations,I call upon Thee to rescue me?
I don't think I know the Magnitude of your love yet.
Until then my Soul will dwell in this Senseless and Sinful World.
Therefore,
My Godly Goal is for the Holy Spirit to dwell in me so that I can be the light in a Dark Senseless and Sinful World.

- Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this poem just after I relocated to another country. In the lonely hours of the day I thought about goals that I would like to achieve in my Spiritual life. I can now say that I am now desperate for a revival. I hope this poem inspires someone out there. Be blessed!
