Simultaneously

Yuksel Inel

I was born in two places at once, at the crossroads of dreams

one in the real world, the other in the land of dreams.

I exist in two universes, in two circles of love

I was lost in one half and reborn in the other.

One side of me is earth, connected to my roots

the other half of me is a bird flying in the sky...

One half of me belongs where I was born

in my other half, I go free with my dreams.

Two different worlds, like twin brothers

one is reality, the other the surface of imagination.

In one half the hot sun, the breeze of the wind

stars on my other half, the feeling of eternity.

I was born in two places, in the dance of two identities

one the traces of the past, the other the hope of the future.

Memories in one half, the weave of memories

my other half is a bridge of dreams and hopes.

I was born in two places at once

My roots on one side, my wings on the other

I am whole in two halves, a unique story

past and future, I embrace together.

At some point, my feet will be on the ground

in another place, my heart flies in the sky.

Two worlds in one, two worlds embracing

I was a traveler born in two places at the same time.
