Poltergeist

Thabang.

there was once this man

this man i knew, this figure

hard to identify, almost vague, blurry

he followed me everywhere

constantly at a distance, watching, staring, never speaking nor reacting

never interrupting nor attempting to

I followed him once, he showed me

he led me, to my reflection, his reflection.

I turned to look at him, he has disappeared

I looked once more at the mirror and there he was, he was me

And I was a little boy, a boy who died long ago in his arms
