Lost dreams

Rose.Gh

She sits at the threshold of the hut

With sadness in her eyes

Looks at her son with a wry smile to distract

Him from what she hides

Story of a poor widow suffering from misery

Daytime is tiring, night is her lost dream

Sees ambition in her child's innocent eyes, clearly

He deserves a life like ocean instead of that little stream

His cheerful face rises up in front of the sky

With a big laugh which can be heared from miles

It tells the story of a young boy who is never afraid to try

To replace these empty stomachs with hopeful smiles

Flowers almost bloom in autumn when the mother holds his hand

The silent looks meet at a moment that utters a lot of patience

Faith in the pink tomorrow is forever their friend

Far away from the hustle of life, they celebrate their independence
