Screaming But No Sound

C.J. Murray

Why am I screaming

Why is there no sound

Its crippling , the unknown if my scream is real , or if there is just no sound

drowning but not in water

drowning but not in depression

drowning in desperation

drowning in no sound

no help , no comfort , no noise

I’m supposed to be happy

surprise

so , why am I screaming

why is there no sound.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this poem when I wasn\\\'t in a positive mindset , unsure and confused about my emotions. This poem is emotional but gives a sense of reality to what we as humans struggle with at times. This poem also gives a positive and reassuring aspect as that feeling doesn\\\'t last. I look back and appreciate the poem and the emotions I was feeling writing this.

The screaming in our heads, the voices, they can hold us captive, cloud our thoughts and not let us see what can be or is true. Glad to read this was the past and realize it is normal to scream, it can really relieve one of their angst.
