Through my eyes, the world

Violetskies

Today the sky is happy

The sun hangs suspended between twilight and noon

Liquid golden laughter teases my every step

Look here-

This tuft of cotton is now a cloud in the sky

The sunlight off the water, now a star

Joyous tears on the dark, coiled earth

Shows in the frantic blooming of jasmine vines.

This is a dying world, they say

But all I see is life, life, life
