We live in fear each and every waking day,
every time the t.v’s on we gotta stop and pray
pray for our lives and our loved one’s too,
but it’s nothing from the white man’s point of view.
Why can’t you hear us?
What about Rosa Parks and the bus?
She stood up for what’s right and so will I.
I will NOT be silenced, that much is true
Not until everyone is safe and has their rights, too
Give the police proper training!
So our black loved one’s lives can stop draining
The ones who have killed some of us, should be thrown in jail
Derek Chauvin should be in there without bail
For he committed an act of manslaughter,
Not even caring about George’s wife or daughter
People have lives to live and families to take care of,
they have a right to do that so just learn to love
we are ALL supposed to follow the rules and have rights,
So make your gun NOT the reason we say good night

Your message is powerful and clear with the words you chose to pen here. The world really needs to learn how to be color blend, because it sure as hell should not matter. But the unfortunate truth is there are people who refuse to see, who refuse to change, who refuse to just human. Sorry for going on , but your words inspire. Keep writing!
I have a dream today. The answer is to seek out your own and carry a gun.
