Depression

Shavon Harrington

A battlefield of tears.

The mind drifts into a state of regret and fear.

A soul battles silently, with no strength to hide.

Darkness tears every seam apart within the mind and heart.

A tempest fiercely rages, clouding every thought and distorting life's pages.

Hope's flickering flame dims with every breath, as despair consumes the spirit, sowing seeds of death.

The world once was vibrant, now colorless and bleak.

The mind is a battlefield where darkness survives with a never-ending

sight.

Very dark and deep, I love it! Although I see you wrote this for a friend but I can relate to this deeply. Great poem!
