We See You

Introverted Sage

Do you feel power holding the match.
Burn it all down watch the world react.
Thinking you'll get by without a scratch.
Might be a bit of clarity you lack.

Darkness always breeds destruction with it's ways.
Seen it all before since the beginning of our days.
Distortion, lies, greed and sick power plays.
Trickled false dreams - secret waves maintain the craze.

But seeing as it's always blood in and blood out.
You should really learn - to better watch your mouth.
Secrets meant to keep will come crashing down your clout.
What will burn first; your pants or your house?

So go on and strike up the match if you dare.
We just want to make sure - that you were aware.
Living your life - without a trace of a care.
There's no race to the finish line. You are already there.

loving the attitude of this poetic voice
    that 'enough is enough' realism
    wonderfully executed, another one
with a powerful last few lines
