ROBERTS HERO

nephilim56

No one saw the tears
Of Roberts hero sat alone
Waiting for the drug addict
His son without a home.

No one saw a caring father
Have to turn his son away
Police, tears, flashing lights
The pain lives to this day.

No one saw the stress
Tatooed upon his soul
The endless worry the broken heart
A father rapidly growing old.

No one heard the painful words
Drug fuelled and laid bare
No one saw Roberts hero
Sat alone in his despair.

This made me want to cry. As a parent, sometimes you cannot imagine having to do some of the hardest things that you think a heart couldn't possibly handle. It's the ultimate show of love even when your children don't necessarily see it that way.
