Tale of a Sailor

Shaheer Agha

To My Dear Rose 🌹,

i searched the earth for you, so my eyes couldn’t find, i saw pieces of you scattered in mountains, forests and the oceans; i travelled and collected a few but they weren’t enough to make me feel whole, i was happy with what i found, lost them too when the soft tide turned into storms; i was broken, shattered missing the pieces i found; washed up on a shore, my eyes couldn’t believe, all the pieces as one i found and to which my broken heart bounds, what is that sound that i heard, what is that in my chest, i felt a beat? all the blood rushed and i felt, it was in your warmth that i got that heat, the one to survive in the cold chilly breeze of my heart, i was stunned as i looked at your beauty, how pretty? i was asked, nothing like you’ve ever seen said the sailor lost at sea.
