Darkness

Chiki1601

In shadows deep, where light retreats,

The darkness dances, whispers, greets.

A canvas black, a mystic night,

Concealing tales, out of sight.

Yet in its grasp, a beauty lies,

A cosmic dance beneath the skies.

Stars emerge, their shimmering plea,

A celestial waltz in mystery.

The night, a cloak, both soft and deep,

Where secrets in the shadows seep.

Moonlight paints a silver song,

In darkness, where dreams belong.

Fear not the dark, embrace its art,

For every end is a fresh start.

In the realm of shadows, stark,

Find the glow within the dark.

If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

My comments on the poem "Darkness” by Chiki1601

    “whispers…
    Concealing tales, out of sight…
    The night, a cloak…
    In darkness, where dreams belong…
In the realm of shadows, stark…”

The words also apply to other circumstances, in a Chaucerian way…

The imagery and rhyme within this is truly beautiful. Love the line, "Fear not the dark, embrace its art".
