Your Gold

Introverted Sage

I live my life out for you.
My existence - all of my actions are so that you can live.
Can't you see it?
Clearly. I used to see you clearly.
You have let the malestrom over take you and it's hard.
Now, I see you through frosted glass.
In my view yet, I can't get past
Everything I have seen you get through.
Only to let this.
Take you back.
Take you back.
Every time you think
I think...
You are getting over the hill.
You put your hood on and pretend you
Aren't who we know you are.
Accept it.
Take the responsibility.
If it is fear.
Say it.
What are you afraid of most?

Someone knowing You.
Inside of you.
Everyone who you ever let get
Close.
Took something from you.

Did you hope
To get it back?
Would you confront them
And demand they return what they stole?
Would you want it back
From them.
With them
On it?
I doubt it.
So wake up.
What you think
They stole
Those empty spaces
Now, they are filled
With so much more
Than what was there
before.
Gold!
You have grown
So much.
You shine now
Like the summer.
What they think they have
Has been replaced
With true gold.
