Time Heals All Wounds

Time Heals All Wounds  by Richard Martin      431

Time Heals All Wounds

They say that time heals all wounds,

maybe that’s so, but the scars last forever.

a constant reminder of a sadder day,

when the Lord took you away forever.

The emotional scares that you left me,

darling will never go away,

I hope someday when we are back together

and again we’ll share our love for each other.

But there are, some brighter memories

that overshadows the scars

Like the time we lay outside on a blanket

Just looking up at the stars

Though time may heal all wounds

it can’t erase my memories of you

The wounds they say will heal

But the scars will never fade from my view
