Lost promise

Lost promise

In the echoes of vows, a promise once made,

Lost in the whispers, in time's silent cascade.

A pledge, like petals, once vibrant and bold,

Now scattered, forgotten, in memories untold.

Promises danced in the moonlit embrace,

Now shadows linger, leaving an empty space.

A commitment like a delicate thread unwinds,

Lost promise, a melody fading in the winds.

Yet, in the remnants of what used to be,

Hope whispers softly, a chance to set it free.

Lost promises, like stars that dim in the night,

Seek a revival, a rekindling of their light.

In the tapestry of time, a stitch may find,

The lost promise, a treasure to unbind.

This has such a smooth flow to the read and while containing a subject of what appears to be lost love or the breaking of promises, I still recognize the chance of hope at the end. Beautiful
