Why when I write this poem
I think of
gaining something but not for
just writing?
Why do I think by publishing this, will I gain loads
and grab the price
Why is it that I think this poem is the best and unique and different?
Is this just human nature?
that is innate, or is it me?
I wonder how I could
change this thinking of mine
I wonder how this innate selfishness
be removed from my mind
I do not know, for now
But that is who I am,
Just a selfish being,
always longing for personal prosperity
